Ebantic and Watchity and the Agència Catalana de Notícies addressed the present and future of MOJO in MAC 2021. The conference on journalism in mobility (MOJO) led by Ebantic, Watchity and the Agència Catalana de Notícies shed light on this area in the framework of the fair MAC 2021.

Carles Rams (Ebantic), Albert Rodes (Watchity) and Xavier Alsinet (Agéncia Catalana de Notícies – ACN) defended during his presentation, the need for environments MOJO settle into an ecosystem formed by application of various manufacturers, built to facilitate the flow of information between them, in a cloud environment that allows the work in mobility and with the capacity of multi-channel publishing (social networks, OTT, web, corporate, etc...).

Albert Rodes, CEO of Watchity, he exposed his proposal for a contribution of directshowing some examples of successful projects that are taking place. With this solution, it is possible to perform in the cloud for a live video signaland can add to it graphics and pre-recorded videos. In the same way, you enable a set of tools for publishing directly to social networks, corporate websites, and even broadcast live by a playout.

For its part, Carles Rams, CEO of Ebantic, focused his intervention on the bet by a unification of the management of the wording in a centralized system that allows for the collaborative team-work, the reuse of content and management of various publications from the same interface. This unification in the present, is now a reality thanks to the platform DAM4CLOUD of Ebantic. In addition, Rams took the opportunity to present its new application DAMBRIDGEcreated for the contribution of videos, photos and audios to a writing from the mobile phone. This system allows you to streamline workflows and have the content immediately to be published. The application is available both for Android and for IOS.

Current challenges

Finally, Xavier Alsinet, editor-in-chief of the Agència Catalana de Notícieshe explained the difficulties that are encountered with the experiences MOJO that have been made until today. One of the main ones is that the journalist must have certain technical knowledge for the shipping of the content area in which the developers will have to dig deep to enable workflows even more accessible. On the other hand, Alsinet explained the advantages of the use of the MOJO in ACNacknowledged that , while this is not a system replacement and opted for the coexistence with the traditional system of recruitment.

The conclusion of the event was clear: the MOJO is being introduced increasingly in the newsrooms of informational and the technology will be key to improve the workflows of journalists who use it.
