The last day 18 January, the Agència Catalana de Notícies (ACN) launched its new Digital Platform for the management and publication of multimedia contents to your customers. This new platform is 100% Cloud, built on the innovations of the companies Ebantic and Watchity, will allow ACN to develop new applications to extend its range of services to journalism.

The content manager DAM4cloud of Ebantic it becomes a key piece to streamline, simplify and facilitate the work of the drafters of the Agency, increasing substantially the productivity of the writing and quality of the service offered. In addition, to be deployed in a Cloud environment, allows you to access and collaborative work to the editors of the Agency distributed throughout the Catalan territory.

The Platform has a new web portal, designed jointly between the company Aureacolor and Ebanticfrom the requirements of the project, which offers to the client ACN dispose of the news in all its versions (video, audio, and images) immediately.

All the multimedia content is managed on the platform of Watchity, which ensures the generation of the different versions of the material, including watermarking and distribution service through its CDN.

To his director, Marc Colomer, with this project the Agency retrieves the innovative vocation, inseparable part of his DNA, along with the vocation of public service plural and independent, the proximity territorial ambition in journalism and the will of outreach.

The project, according to Anna Nogué, deputy director of the ACN, has been an example of collaboration between the different stakeholders, which ensures that it is feasible technologically at the same time that complies with the requirements posed by journalists. It has achieved a platform that will allow to develop new products and services, in accordance with the needs of the media industry.
